After my race last weekend, I took a little unscheduled break. My feet were killing me. I have been staying up late the past couple of weeks. I think the lack of sleep has limited how much real recovery I have been getting.
One interesting thing has happened during this holiday week. Let me back up for a minute. We have been pretty happy with how well Baby Elizabeth has been sleeping. We were thinking that she has been getting on a schedule and sleeping through the night. Well, this week, I’ve been up well past midnight every night. And not once, since last Sunday, has she slept all the way through the night. So, either her schedule is way off, or we were way wrong. She might have made it through the night without fussing, but I’m pretty positive that she hasn’t been sleeping through the entire night.
So, now that my feet are starting to feel better, I’m debating getting up and running in 5 hours. Part of the debate is that if I go do my 12 mile run, will I be so tired that I don’t hear Elizabeth when she wakes up tomorrow night.
