I had a nice little breakfast meeting with Coach Ken this morning to discuss the plan for 2011.  I’m excited.  I feel like the downtime the past few weeks has really paid off.  I also think that I’ve improved my ability to workout on my own and with my wife.  I came across a term today, “spousal approval unit” or “SAU” which really made sense to me.  Even if I do accomplish some of my goals, it won’t be worth it if my SAU bank is empty.

Goals we decided this morning:

  • 1:59:59 at the Olathe Half Marathon – The Wickedly Fast Half on April 16, 2011
  • 6:59:59 at the Kansas 70.3 on June 12, 2011

Additional goals:

  • Redemption (finish) the Branson 70.3 on September 18, 2011, I’ll set a time goal after the Kansas 70.3
  • 4:29:14 at the Gobbler Grind Marathon on November 20, 2011
  • Cross the finish line with Jillian at the Groundhog 10k
  • Cross the finish line with Jillian at the Kansas City Half Marathon
  • Cross the finish line with Jillian at the Jingle Bell Run

I’m looking forward to a fun year of fitness!
