I honestly wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to have a good day today. It was supposed to be a 8 mile run in to work and an 8 mile bike out from work. I knew I needed to increase my run mileage, but wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to.
I didn’t know the route and Steve has done the route a few times already. I let him set the pace and I followed. Steve has always been really close to my pace. He has been much more consistent with his running too, so I was a little worried.
We took a break at the 4.75 mile mark, but we don’t think we need to next time. We ended up right around 11 minute miles and I’m super happy with that.
The bike I wasn’t as worried about. I should have been. The bike had enough hills to really stress my legs a couple times.
If I can keep up with this workout, I think it will really benefit me in Branson. The heat in the middle of the day needs to be avoided. The workout before and after work was perfect. We will see how the rest of the week plays out.

You need to come up and do my 30 mile route with me… It is hilly ride for the first 2/3 than then nice and flat great for speed work the last 1/3….
