We went out to celebrate the sale of our new house on Friday. We ended up staying out past midnight. I still feel like I’m paying for it. My workout Tuesday afternoon was acceptable, but my workouts Tuesday night were not. I felt dehydrated, sore and tired. I did only lap in the water and one lap around the park at Shawnee Mission Park. I did lots of talking with Monty, Jeff B, Laurie D. and Jillian. I met a couple new people too, Sara and John.
I think the swim training has left me. I’m going to try to do 3 swims a week for a couple of weeks until I’m back into my groove. I have to remember, Branson is my main focus. The other races between now and then are just to train for Branson.
I talked to Monty about getting together for a 50+ mile ride soon. I think riding with Monty will really help me ride the way I’m supposed to. Monty is a much stronger biker than I am. Hopefully I can keep up well enough for him to get a good ride in also.
Today’s plan is to do some light upper body work and core training, then hop in the indoor pool and get 1.2 miles under my belt.
